Preston officially welcomed the Baton ahead of the Commonwealth games in England
Our event team assisted Preston City Council with event support, and UK Media & Events Security ensured the safe running of a range of activities and events on Preston’s Flag Market and around Preston.
The Queen’s Baton Relay visited The Continental, travelled through Avenham and Miller Parks, and passed through Winkley Square, Fishergate and Preston Market before arriving at Preston’s Flag Market.
The Mayor of Preston, Neil Darby attended, and there was a real buzz in the air. Members of the public embraced the arrival and had the opportunity to participate in various planned activities.
