Music In The Park is an outdoor music festival set in the grounds of Worden Park, Leyland.
Our client’s brief (South Ribble Borough Council) was to deliver a high-class music event that would really put Leyland (North West, UK), on the map!
In its inaugural year, the lineup was to be an 80s theme and our event team was tasked with scouting the very best that the 80s had to offer!
UK Media and Events pulled together an awesome lineup, which included:
- Doctor and the Medics
- Heaven 17
- T’Pau
- Pat Sharp (DJ Set)
- Go West
- Tony Hadley
Each artist performed with a full live band alongside numerous vocalists.
This was all hosted by Mick Brown (From Pat & Mick)
UK Media & Events managed the event’s social media marketing, which included paid event advertising, and organised and ran various competitions. Radio advertising was also arranged, with adverts appearing on Greatest Hits Radio, Radio City & Rock FM.
A large festival stage with branding and a disabled access viewing platform was provided, along with full sound & lighting production, big screens and special FX (Showven Sparkulars , G Flame, and Stadium shot).
Two full bar services, which included a large main bar and a smaller VIP bar (decorated with festival flags) were also provided.
A large security team covering all gates, backstage and arena spaces was also provided by UK Media & Events Security.
